Seminar on new policies and tools for professional training and development

More than 80 participants, the representatives of all territorial personnel units and the staff of the State Customs Service, attended an online seminar on professional training and development, which took place on February 17-19 involving EU4PFM project experts. “Seminar on new policies and tools for professional training and development” was the third seminar in the Training Program for Performance Management for HRM representatives of the State Customs Service.

The speakers, experienced HR-experts of Lithuania, who developed and implemented new modern training and development systems, presented 3 modules: “A new approach to the organizational process of training and professional development”, “Training Needs Assessment Process (TNA): a starting point for staff development “,” A set of tools for training and development (T&D): Formal learning is not the most important thing. ” Each of them presented the experience of experts and practice examples. The participants gained knowledge, in particular, on how to gather information about T&D needs, how to build the T&D process, what are the tools and how to evaluate the effectiveness of T&D.

As previously reported, the Training Program on Performance Management for HRM Representatives of the State Customs Service (regional HRM departments and the central office) started in September 2020. During this time, 3 distance seminars were conducted. The two previous ones covered the topics “How to manage the effectiveness of the organization: From good to better” and “Profiling and approach to personnel management based on competencies.” The program for HR specialists is part of the assistance of European partners in reforming the personnel service of the State Customs Service of Ukraine in accordance with European practices in HR.
