EU4PFM Experts Delivered Basic Management Training for Ministry of Finance

Leadership is a set of behaviours, not a title. Kristina Jakubaitytė-Revutienė, EU4PFM International Expert on HR, delivered a two-day basic management training for future managers of the Ministry of Finance. In many public sector organisations, employees with high technical competence often move into managerial roles. Yet technical expertise alone is rarely enough. Once appointed, the ability to lead people and manage teams becomes essential.

The Ministry, supported by EU4PFM, is investing in preparing future managers for the policy-making environment. This training helped future managers shift from technical expertise to effective people management. The programme focused on:

  • developing self-awareness and readiness for greater responsibility
  • understanding what drives employee performance and satisfaction
  • applying a systematic approach to better decision-making
  • learning various methods of leading others
  • learning the basic principles of feedback and coaching
  • developing the ability to adapt quickly and strengthening readiness for change.
More than 50 participants took part in these training sessions.
