EU4PFM strengthens the onboarding process for new staff of the Ministry of Finance
The Programme supported the publication of 200 handbooks for newcomers to the Ministry of Finance — a practical guide that helps new colleagues quickly navigate the Ministry’s structure, key procedures and organisational approaches. The handbook will serve as a starting point for familiarising themselves with the Ministry’s work and will help them build an effective transition into their new role.
Jurgita Domeikiene, Team Leader of EU4PFM Components 1, 3 and 4, emphasised the importance of strengthening the Ministry’s HR processes: “A strong public institution starts with its people and the conditions in which they work. We are glad to support the Ministry of Finance in creating high-quality tools for onboarding new staff. The ‘Newcomer’s Handbook’ is not just an information resource, it is a calling card of a Ministry that actively invests in developing its teams.”
Dmytro Syvokon, Director of the HR Department, noted: “The Ministry of Finance, and in particular the HR Department, expresses its gratitude to EU4PFM for the support provided in printing the ‘Newcomer’s Handbook of the Ministry of Finance’. Thanks to the assistance of the Programme, printed copies of the handbook have been produced, which enables its use in the onboarding of newly appointed staff of the Ministry of Finance. We highly appreciate the timeliness and practical focus of the support provided, and we thank EU4PFM for its contribution to the implementation of this task.”
Hennadii Kyzymenko, Deputy Director of the HR Department, added: “On behalf of the HR Department, we sincerely thank the EU4PFM team for its prompt support in printing the ‘Newcomer’s Handbook of the Ministry of Finance’, as well as for its continuous expert involvement in developing HR processes. Producing printed copies has made it possible to effectively use the handbook in the onboarding of newly appointed staff and ensure consistent approaches to introducing them to the Ministry’s key policies and values.”
This support is yet another step towards strengthening the institutional capacity of the Ministry of Finance and enhancing the overall quality of public administration in Ukraine.
