Final day of the study visit: ACU at the Swedish National Audit Office

On the last day of the study visit, organised with the support of EU4PFM Component 5, the Accounting Chamber of Ukraine focused on human resources development and quality management. Swedish colleagues shared their experience in continuous staff development, training systems, and career planning, highlighting the Kompassen programme that prepares new auditors through structured courses leading to the auditor exam. Discussions also covered ISSAI 140 on quality management, with practical lessons on hot reviews, engagement quality control, and approaches suitable for audit institutions beginning their ISSAI journey.

Over three days in Stockholm, the ACU delegation not only gained knowledge in planning, communications, HR, and quality management but also built connections and inspiration to drive Ukraine’s external audit system closer to international standards – a journey that continues beyond this visit.
