EU4PFM Continues to Provide Emergency Support to the Ministry of Finance
The EU4PFM project provided the Ministry of Finance with 850 licenses for two-factor authentication software as part of the emergency support programme for its partners.
This system enhances the resilience of government agencies against cyberattacks, which have become widespread during the war.
Two-factor authentication requires users to enter not only a password, but also an additional code sent to their phone or as an email message. This significantly complicates hackers’ access to systems.
Strengthening cybersecurity in accordance with the recommendations of the Government Computer Emergency Response Team of Ukraine (CERT-UA) is more and more important. The implementation of a two-factor authentication system by the Ministry of Finance will further implement the CERT-UA’s recommendations and provide additional tools for cyber protection.
This assistance is part of EU4PFM’s unwavering support for its partner institutions during challenging times caused by russia’s war against Ukraine.
