The Accounting Chamber of Ukraine adopted the Procedure for performing financial audit in line with the ISSAI requirements.

It is a very important step, because one of the key requirements of the European Union established for Ukraine as a candidate for membership is the compliance of the external audit with international standards.

The “Strengthening Capacities in External Audit in Line with International Standards in Ukraine” project has been working together with the Accounting Chamber for almost two years to implement financial audits that meet the ISSAI requirements.

During this time, our experts had many personal meetings with representatives from the Accounting Chamber, received comments and suggestions, which were approved in the final version of the Methodological Manual for Performing Financial Audit, as well as the Financial Audit Process. Experts also prepared many annexes and supporting documents. Finally, the project delivered trainings on financial audit for more than 250 employees of the Accounting Chamber.

EU4ACU “Strengthening Capacities in External Audit in Line with International Standards in Ukraine” is a project financed by the European Union and implemented by DAI, aiming to ensure more efficient oversight of public resources through enhanced capacities in external audit of budgetary funds by the Accounting Chamber of Ukraine (ACU).
