The State Tax Service and EU4PFM: strengthening partnership to advance EU integration goals
A recent series of meetings between the Acting Head of the State Tax Service (STS) Tetiana Kirienko, Deputy Head for Digital Development, Digital Transformation and Digitization Nataliia Kalienichenko, Deputy Head Yevhenii Socur, and EU4PFM Team Leader Jurgita Domeikiene alongside International Key Expert Paulius Majauskas, highlighted significant steps in their ongoing collaboration aimed at improving taxpayer services and driving further tax administration reform.
Key discussion topics included the progress of joint projects with a particular focus on regulatory and IT preparations in the tax sector for Ukraine’s accession to the EU, proposals were presented for the Work plan for 2025.
Particular attention was given to implementing EU Directives and the necessary IT solutions to support new legislation, including the Anti-Tax Avoidance Directive (ATAD), DAC-7.
The participants recognized challenges in legislation and emphasized the need for effective IT solutions to facilitate the automation of processes. The development of a strategic resource management model for the STS was also discussed as a critical next step in the reform agenda.
Looking ahead to 2025, the STS and EU4PFM are committed to achieving strategic objectives with a focus on the implementation of measures outlined in the National Revenue Strategy through 2030 and recommendations of the EU Enlargement Report.
