A management leadership training programme was held in Kyiv for the State Audit Service of Ukraine under the EU4PFM programme
From 12 to 16 October 2026, a management leadership training programme was held in Kyiv for the State Audit Service of Ukraine under the EU4PFM programme.
The training was delivered by EU4PFM experts Nathalie Maiolini and Raphaël Sikorski for two groups: members of the Executive Committee and middle managers of the State Audit Service. Its aim was to strengthen professional relationships through active listening, mutual understanding and closer collaboration, and to foster effective working relationships within teams.
The sessions focused on the role of listening in collective effectiveness, group dynamics and interpersonal relationships, barriers to change, and the use of collective intelligence to improve team performance. The program combined practical exercises with work on real situations from participants’ daily practice, which led to rich and constructive discussions. In a peer co-development workshop, the managers developed an action plan that they committed to putting into practice in their teams.
As a result of the training, the managers gained a clearer understanding of how listening and their own attitudes and behaviours shape the work of their teams, and gained practical experience in using collective intelligence to find solutions to real workplace situations. Building on the needs expressed by participants, the upcoming modules of the programme will focus on strengthening self-confidence, managing resistance to change, assessing employees’ skills, and supporting staff through technical and regulatory change.
EU Public Finance Management Support Programme for Ukraine (EU4PFM) project is a major international cooperation initiative, co-funded by the European Union and co-implemented by Expertise France since 2026, aimed to help Ukraine reform its public finance systems, strengthen economic resilience, and accelerate alignment with EU accession requirements.
