Building audit excellence: EU4PFM Component 5 launches training series for the Accounting Chamber of Ukraine
EU4PFM Component 5 “External Audit and Parliamentary Oversight” has launched a comprehensive series of trainings to be delivered throughout the year, covering various groups of employees of the Accounting Chamber of Ukraine, including regional offices. Participants will eventually work through a full audit cycle, applying methodologies in a practical context.
The first Financial Audit Training Module for auditors has already taken place, making the beginning of this capacity-building programme. The advanced-level training brought together 23 auditors across two groups and focused on strengthening practical competencies through a structured, case-based approach.
The training aimed to develop practical skills in identifying and assessing key risks of material misstatement based on an understanding of the audited entity and its environment, improve understanding of how to select components within the scope of the audit, and strengthen skills in determining materiality at the component level.
“The development of strong, practice-oriented skills is essential for ensuring high-quality audit work in line with international standards. This training series is designed to support auditors in applying these standards consistently and effectively,” noted Inguna Sudraba, EU4PFM Component 5 Team Lead.
This initiative represents a continued effort to strengthen the institutional capacity and professional expertise of the Accounting Chamber of Ukraine.
