EU4PFM Component 5 “External Audit and Parliamentary Oversight” continues the active rollout of its training series together with the Accounting Chamber of Ukraine
Following the launch of the programme, two additional financial audit training sessions have already taken place this week, bringing together auditors and team leaders in a practical environment.
On 5 May, audit team leaders participated in Module 1, focused on developing the audit planning approach and clarifying leadership responsibilities. Designed specifically for professionals currently performing this role, the training guided participants from initial uncertainty towards building a clear, structured audit plan, with a strong emphasis on the practical role of leadership in audit engagements.
On 6 May, the training continued with Module 2 for auditors, dedicated to understanding the audited entity. Delivered to two groups, the training focused on building a solid foundation for risk assessment by ensuring a thorough understanding of the audited entity, improving documentation practices, and addressing common challenges that may affect the effectiveness of the overall audit approach.
Both trainings were delivered using a case-based methodology, enabling participants to apply audit concepts in practice and strengthen their professional judgement.
The training series is organised jointly by the Accounting Chamber of Ukraine and EU4PFM Component 5 experts with a shared commitment to developing a modern, effective, and internationally aligned public audit function in Ukraine.
