Financial audit training advances with hands-on learning as auditors deepen practical skills across the Accounting Chamber

This week, participants of the EU4PFM- supported financial audit training programme continued to strengthen their practical auditing skills, with a particular focus on documenting audit procedures and understanding key business processes that underpin high-quality financial audits.

The third group of auditors worked on documenting the processes related to salaries and bonuses, as well as fixed assets. Participants also began preparing audit working papers for salaries and bonuses, applying international auditing methodologies to practical case studies and strengthening their documentation skills.

At the same time, auditors from the Accounting Chamber’s regional offices continued their learning journey. Both regional groups completed the module “Understanding the Audited Entity”, focusing on gaining a comprehensive understanding of an organisation’s operations, internal control environment, and the factors that influence audit risk assessment.

Through practical exercises and collaborative discussions, participants continue to build the knowledge and professional judgement needed to conduct high-quality, risk-based financial audits while promoting consistent audit practices across the entire Accounting Chamber.
