Judicial review of Public Procurement disputes: EU4PFM delivers training for judges in Lviv
EU4PFM Procurement Component in cooperation with the National School of Judges, recently delivered a two-day intensive training «Judicial Review of Public Procurement Disputes in the Context of Ukraine’s European Integration». The event brought together over 220 participants in a hybrid format, both in person and online.
The speakers included judges of the Supreme Court and regional commercial courts, EU4PFM Procurement Component experts, as well as representatives of the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine and the State Audit Service.
The training aimed to deepen judges’ understanding of the legal regulation of public procurement, taking into account EU law, recent amendments to Ukrainian legislation, and current judicial practice. It also focused on strengthening practical skills in applying this knowledge during the adjudication of procurement-related disputes.
Key training topics included:
- Public Procurement regulatory challenges
- Methodology for applying EU law and the case law of the Court of Justice of the European Union by Ukrainian national courts
- Implementation of public internal financial control in public procurement in the context of EU integration
- Application of public procurement legislation in administrative court proceedings
Participants also explored the use of AI in legal and judicial practice, learning how to formulate effective queries and critically assess the accuracy of AI-generated responses.
EU4PFM systematically supports the development of professional competencies within the judicial community, which is essential for ensuring high-quality justice in the public procurement field.
