With EU4PFM support, the State Customs Service of Ukraine receives 400,000 customs seals
The State Customs Service of Ukraine has received 400,000 customs seals supplied by the EU4PFM Programme. This support will help ensure the identification and integrity of goods during transportation and contribute to aligning Ukraine’s customs procedures with European standards.
Customs seals are an essential tool for ensuring the integrity of goods under customs control. They are affixed to cargo compartments of vehicles, containers and other units used to transport goods to prevent unauthorised access.
The seals have been provided for use under the New Computerised Transit System (NCTS) in Ukraine, one of the key instruments for simplifying and accelerating transit procedures for businesses.
The growing number of transit declarations demonstrates the active use of the system. Since Ukraine joined the Convention on a Common Transit Procedure and began using NCTS, a total of 445,300 transit declarations have been processed, including 161,700 in 2026 alone.
The delivery of 400,000 customs seals is another tangible result of cooperation between the State Customs Service of Ukraine and its European partners, aimed at modernising customs operations and introducing modern approaches to customs procedures.
