State Tax Service and EU4PFM continue cooperation to provide additional security for STS IT infrastructure

With the support of the EU4PFM Project, the State Tax Service has received specialised equipment for its data centre.

This solution significantly enhances data backup capabilities and increases the security of the STS’s critical information infrastructure.

In a time of war, ensuring the security and resilience of IT infrastructure is of paramount importance. Ongoing threats to the energy system, cyberattacks, and shelling pose a threat to the smooth operation of IT systems. EU4PFM support will provide an additional layer of protection and enable a rapid response to emergencies.

“The necessary conditions for secure operations of data center equipment of the STS are provided, fulfilling one important step in enabling of future STS IT high-availability. It is commendable how the STS is responding to the risks to IT infrastructure – by implementing robust and well-tested disaster recovery strategies which will ensure business continuity and can minimize the impact of disruptions, achieve faster data recovery, and resume core operations rapidly in case of critical incidents” – stated Dragan Jeremic, EU4PFM International Key Expert on IT.

EU4PFM and STS remain committed to their strategic goals of modernising tax processes and aligning with European data protection standards. The commissioning of this equipment represents another significant step towards ensuring the stability and reliability of Ukraine’s tax infrastructure.
