In Vilnius, on September 20-21, 2023, EU4PFM convened for a vital Seminar on Customs Cooperation. Keynotes by Lithuania's Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs, Jonas Survila, and the Director General of Customs, Darius Zvironas, set the stage.

In the PFM Strategy for 2022-2025, developed with the support of EU4PFM, the importance of not only considering internal financial control as a theoretical concept but also as a practical tool for spending units is emphasised. Therefore, the role of EU4PFM is to provide recommendations for its optimal organisation, including effective risk management.

This system will assist the State Tax Service of Ukraine in automating the processing of the standard audit file SAF-T UA.

As part of the ongoing study visit to Slovakia organized by the EU4PFM, the Deputy Ministers of Finance of Ukraine Svitlana Vorobey and Oleksandr Hrubiian and Natalya Kalenichenko, Deputy Head of the State Tax Service met with Michal Horváth, the Minister of Finance of Slovakia.

The Leadership of the Ministry of Finance, the State Tax Service of Ukraine and the EU4PFM recently embarked on a significant study visit to Bratislava, Slovakia, to delve into the country's extensive experience in implementing EU Directives. This visit aims to foster knowledge exchange, facilitate discussions on overall approaches to comply with EU acquis, tax compliance, and learn from Slovakia's best practices in preparation for EU accession.
