Ukraine continues to advance its public financial management by drawing from international best practices. A recent EU4PFM seminar, hosted in collaboration with the Latvian State Treasury, focused on leveraging Latvia’s successful debt management strategies to enhance Ukraine’s approaches.

During a visit to Kyiv, EU4PFM international IT expert Dragan Jeremic met with representatives of the SCS, led by Oleg Nikolaychuk, Deputy Head for Digital Development, Digital Transformation, and Digitalization of the State Customs Service of Ukraine. Vytenis Alisauskas, EU4PFM Key International Expert on Customs, also joined the meeting. The discussions centered on key topics shaping the future of customs IT systems in Ukraine.

The Deputy Minister of Finance of Ukraine Oleksandr Hrubiian and EU4PFM International Key Expert on IT Dragan Jeremic discussed the digital projects of the Ministry of Finance, which are being implemented with the support of the EU4PFM Project.

On February 12, EU4PFM held its 14th Steering Committee meeting. 

The EU4PFM Public Procurement Component in cooperation with the Ministry of Economy, recently hosted a roundtable discussion on “Centralised procurement: challenges and prospects at central and local levels.”

The EU4PFM program continues to work closely with the State Customs Service of Ukraine (SCS) and its international partners to strengthen integrity and combat corruption in customs. A recent Customs Integrity Perception Survey (CIPS), conducted by the SCS in cooperation with the World Customs Organization’s Anti-Corruption and Integrity Promotion (A-CIP) Programme, offers a critical insight into the current state of customs integrity.

On February 6, the third Steering Committee meeting of Component 2 “Public Procurement” under the EU4PFM Programme convened in Kyiv to present the Project's achievements, outline planned activities, and assess the overall progress of Public Procurement reform in Ukraine.
