Training of trainers on export control and transit of dual-use goods by the customs authorities of Ukraine took place on September, 21-22
Under EU4PFM support and in close cooperation with the Department of specialized training and canine services of the SCS the remote seminar on “Training of trainers on export control and transit of dual-use goods by the customs authorities of Ukraine” took place on September, 21-22. About 40 customs representatives participated in the seminar.
The experience of customs control in the Republic of Lithuania (and the EU) on dual-use goods (exports and transit) was presented to Ukrainian customs officers.
Participants discussed the legal framework for the implementation of the requirements for dual-use goods. Lithuanian experts provided practical examples of customs control at the border checkpoint, goods detention, and investigation.Among the topics of the seminar were forms and methods of customs control for dual-use goods; international and interagency cooperation; discussions on forms of cooperation with the private sector; EU practices and control methods; risk management; legal regulation and follow-up of seized (dual-use) goods.
