EU4PFM supports development of e-audit software for automated analysis of taxpayer data

The developer company, together with the State Tax Service, started developing the software after the successful approval of the terms of reference and description of design specifications.

Currently, the developer has demonstrated a functional prototype of the system’s key features, operating in a test environment.

The software will enable audits based on information received from taxpayers in the form of a Standard Audit File (SAF-T UA), developed by the OECD and adapted for Ukraine. The algorithms employ a risk-oriented approach, focusing on systematic risk assessment and processing through analytical, control and other measures and tools. This approach will facilitate the comparison of data with information available to the STS.

This IT solution will automate tax control processes and ensure the processing of large volumes of data (SAF-T UA). As a result, it will facilitate the detection of tax violations, reduce corruption risks, ensure transparency and control, as well as save time and improve the quality of work.

SAF-T UA is an electronic document standard that will enable taxpayers to submit fewer paper documents to tax authorities during audits and decrease the number of requests from tax authorities. This will significantly reduce the administrative burden and improve interactions with tax authorities through electronic data submission and automation of audit processes.

The e-audit software product will contribute to the development of the digital economy in Ukraine and increase trust in the tax system. The development of this software is supported and financed by the EU4PFM Project.
