Standardised programme of advanced training for public procurement specialists approved

The training will become even more effective as the newly developed programme will help civil servants and local self-government officials responsible for public procurement master modern methods and tools.

From now on, training providers are recommended to develop general professional (certification) training programmes based on this standardised programme.

Programme objectives:

• raise the level of awareness among civil servants and local self-government officials on the legal regulation of public procurement
• deepen their understanding of the principles and peculiarities of implementing new legal and organisational frameworks in public procurement
• develop their skills in organising and conducting public procurement based on national and international principles.

The programme has been developed by the Ministry of Economy in cooperation with experts from Component 2 ‘Public Procurement’ of the EU4PFM Project, the National Agency of Ukraine on Civil Service, and procurement specialists.
