Fostering excellence: Ukrainian tax officials study best practices in Vilnius

On a first day of a study visit to Vilnius, organized with the support of EU4PFM, representatives from the State Tax Service of Ukraine engaged in a comprehensive dialogue with the counterparts from the Lithuanian State Tax Inspectorate.

This visit focused on exchanging knowledge and best practices in the administration of tax debt, operational risk management, and relevant IT solutions.

Ukrainian officials gained valuable insights into Lithuanian methodologies for effective oversight and risk management, explored their structured approach to tax compliance, and learned about advanced risk analysis and audit selection tools.

The session on tax debt administration covered Lithuanian legislation on recovery, operational processes, arrears administration, and debtor riskiness. Lithuanian tax officers also shared their experiences with recovery procedures under Directive 2010/24/EU.
