New backup data center for the State Customs Service of Ukraine is equipped and prepared for launching.

PThe mobile data center will ensure data integrity and service availability in case of failure of the main data center. This is essential not only for data protection but also for uninterrupted customs clearance processes around the clock. The data center is equipped with state-of-the-art servers, network equipment, air conditioning systems, an uninterruptible power supply, a diesel generator, fire protection systems, monitoring tools, and other equipment necessary for proper functioning.

“The establishment of the backup data center will enable the SCS with a disaster-recovery possibility in case of primary data center failure, which is extremely important in the current situation of continuous russia’s attacks on Ukraine’s critical infrastructure”, Dragan Jeremić, International Key Expert on IT of EU4PFM, commented.

This intervention was supported by EU4PFM with funds allocated by the EU for emergency support to the project’s partner institutions. EU4PFM is grateful to the SCS for the fruitful and efficient cooperation – the SCS’s professional team dedicated enormous efforts to establish the technical requirements and do all the preparations needed to setup the data center and make it operational in unprecedently short time, despite the continued attacks of russia on critical infrastructure of Ukraine.
