Ukrainian auditors study Latvian experience in effective public finance management.

While a large-scale war is going on in Ukraine, European Union technical support to Ukrainian state institutions continues, helping the PFM reforms.

One of good examples of such continued support is the EU4ACU project, which is a part of EU4PFM Programme, consistent with the EU’s overall framework for providing PFM assistance, the “Strengthening Capacities in External Audit in Line with International Standards in Ukraine”.

To share the practical experience for implementing public finance management reforms in line with the EU and best international standards, EU-funded project EU4ACU implemented by DAI organized a study visit for representatives from the Accounting Chamber of Ukraine, national Supreme Audit Institution, to the State Audit Office of the Republic of Latvia.

During the study tour Ukrainian officials will participate in 25 panel discussions with main stakeholders of the Supreme Audit Institution (SAI) – the Saeima of Latvia, the Ministry of Finance of Latvia and The Treasury of the Republic of Latvia.

EU4ACU is a project financed by the European Union and implemented by DAI, aiming to ensure more efficient oversight of public resources through enhanced capacities in external audit of budgetary funds by the Accounting Chamber of Ukraine (ACU).
