EU4PFM provides 200,000 customs seals to the SCS to support NCTS implementation

Thanks to the EU4PFM project, the State Customs Service of Ukraine has received 200,000 customs seals. These seals are crucial for the national application of the New Computerised Transit System (NCTS).

With the steady increase in goods being moved under the common transit procedure, which requires sealing, these seals are essential. Businesses engaged in international trade will benefit from Ukraine’s participation in the Common Transit Convention, a key element of the “customs visa-free”.

NCTS helps reduce border queues by allowing declarations to be submitted in advance, and once verified within the country, the seals—recognized by the EU—are applied. At the border, only the barcode needs to be scanned, saving significant time.This streamlined process not only speeds up customs clearance but also strengthens Ukraine’s integration with the EU’s transit systems, making cross-border trade faster and more efficient.
