The presentation of the draft law on the implementation of the international standard of automatic exchange of information took place.

The EU4PFM project, the Ministry of Finance, and the State Tax Service continue to cooperate to implement the automatic exchange of information according to CRS international standards.

Today, the presentation of the draft law on the implementation of the international standard of automatic exchange of information on financial accounts took place.

“Assistance in ensuring Ukraine’s compliance with European taxation standards, including CRS, has been provided since the beginning of the EU4PFM project. The introduction of CRS means the harmonization of Ukrainian legislation with EU legislation in the field of taxation and is of particular importance for Ukraine as a candidate country. In addition, the implementation of CRS is one of the initiatives of the Recovery Plan of Ukraine in the field of budget revenue mobilization. But the most important thing is that this tool will contribute to ensuring transparency and fair payment of taxes for the recovery of Ukraine in the post-war period,” emphasized Paulius Majauskas, EU4PFM Key International Expert in tax reform.

Representatives of the financial sector took part in the presentation.

 During the event:

– the business got acquainted with the main provisions of the draft law;

– key dates and measures that financial agents need to take to prepare for CRS requirements have been outlined;

– further plans regarding the communication of the Ministry of Finance and the State Tax Service with financial agents were reported.
