Helping businesses get understanding on how to obtain AEO status

Today, On November 4th, a remote seminar for business “Practical aspects of the procedure for obtaining the status of Authorized Economic Operator (AEO)” was held. This is the first seminars in a series organized by the Ministry of Finance, EU4PFM and the Reform Support Team (RST) at the Ministry of Finance.

AEO: World and Ukraine

The aim of the seminar is to provide businesses with basic information on the AEO program in Ukraine, introduced in accordance with EU standards in August 2020, current legislation, authorization conditions and the required application package of documents.

The participants of the first seminar were members of the American Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine, among which are 34 participants of the institution. The next series of seminars will be held for members of the Association “Ukrainian Agribusiness Club” and the Union of Ukrainian Entrepreneurs (SUP). These associations were among the first ones to show interest in the AEO topic.

The agenda included discussions on the application of the AEO programs in the world, benefits for the AEO in Ukraine, criteria and procedure for obtaining, as well as a Q&A session.

Among speakers were Oksana Drozach, Customs Reform Coordinator of the Reform Support Team (RST) at the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine, Adviser to the Deputy Minister of Finance of Ukraine, and Oleksiy Vorobyov, EU4PFM expert on AEO Implementation.
